Chanel N°19 & Cristalle

In October 2023, Chanel launched the updated editions of some of its iconic scents. Paying homage to the legacy of Gabrielle Chanel, the brand introduces Chanel N°19 Eau de Toilette, Cristalle Eau de Parfum, and Cristalle Eau Verte Eau de Parfum, each celebrating the heritage of the house with these staple floral-green compositions. 

Chanel N°19 Eau de Toilette

Chanel introduces the new version of the iconic Chanel N°19 Eau de Toilette, originally launched in 1970. The name of the fragrance pays tribute to the day Mademoiselle was born—August 19, 1883.
This floral-woody-green composition strikes a balance between the vibrant, green notes of galbanum and the soft, powdery notes of Iris Pallida. The original is a daring, distinctive perfume with an uncompromising character, making it the last fragrance ever launched and worn by Gabrielle Chanel herself. It was made to embody her strong-willed personality and artistic spirit.

"When the idea for this new women's fragrance came to mind, she met with resistance from those around her who did not think a new fragrance could exist alongside N°5. But Coco refused to give up and asked Henri Robert for a composition with a personality just as strong as that of N°5. And her request was granted, in a completely different olfactory composition: a contrasting accord of green and powdery notes. Mademoiselle passed away just a few weeks after the launch of the new fragrance, on January 10, 1971."

Cristalle Eau de Parfum

Originally presented in 1993 (as the EDP version of the EDT from 1974), the new Cristalle Eau de Parfum is said to redefine elegance.

Inspired by the invigorating essence of a weekend in the countryside, it combines the character and transparency of a floral-fresh fragrance. Described as strong yet light, natural yet sophisticated, this perfume opens with a fresh and fruity burst and evolves into green notes of hyacinth, softened by a honeysuckle accord. The trail of scent is enriched with absolutes of jasmine and iris from Florence.

Cristalle Eau Verte Eau de Parfum

Cristalle Eau Verte Eau de Parfum is a brand new version of Cristalle Eau Verte (EDT) from 2009, which was the modern successor of the Cristalle fragrance from 1974. 

Representing a breath of green nature, and rays of crystalline light, Cristalle Eau Verte Eau de Parfum reimagines the classic in a contemporary way. Inspired by Gabrielle Chanel's love for the great outdoors, this transparent floral-green-fresh fragrance blooms with a magnolia accord. The new composition reinterprets the original delicacy and adds citrus-jasmine notes with the purest raw materials.
